Giving Back

Giving Back

Giving back was always a part of the vision for My Paris Story – Living, Loving and Leaping without a Net in the City of Light. As we began to create our book we started to look for an organization or association we would like to donate a portion of our benefits to. There are many wonderful causes and our hearts went to many different options but towards the end of 2013 it became clear where we would at least begin our giving back.

After the devastation of Typhoon Haiyan, in November 2013, one of the My Paris Story authors, Michelle Pozon cofounded Paris for the Philippines. PFTP is an international nonprofit group, dedicated to bringing aid and support to those affected by the tragedy. PFTP has joined forces with Gawad Kalinga to build homes and offer support and opportunities to the people of the Philippines. We proudly support their efforts and are giving a portion of the book proceeds to help in their life-changing efforts!

Victoria testimonial photo“My Paris Story” tells a story close to our hearts.  It is about following one’s heart to be of service.

Paris for the Philippines was founded by 5 housewives and a chef.  After the devastation of Typhoon Haiyan, we came together because our hearts told us that we had to do something – anything, to bring comfort to the survivors back home.  One of those “housewives” was just coming out of retirement to become The Closet Guru and a co author in this beautiful book.

My Paris Story is told by a group of big hearted women who believe that “ordinary” women can do extraordinary things, and they do.  They inspire others with their courage, tenacity and faith – to take a leap, because their heart told them to.

On behalf of Paris for the Philippines, I thank the “My Paris Story” Authors for contributing to our mission to rebuild villages and inspire communities in the Philippines.  May we all follow suit and remember to live from our hearts and take the leap….because we all know in our hearts, that we can.”

– Victoria Aquino Benoit (co founder and Chairperson of Paris for the Philippines)
